Gliders
Boone's other revolutionary invention was the gliders which are an attachment to skiing poles in which he uses in snowboarding in a completely new and sometimes criticised technique of boarding. this image is the only publicly released image of the gliders in use where he has this little handle extensions on the poles.
He takes the same approach to snowboarding as skiing with the hour glass shape on the board enabling him to be able to lean the same as in skiing. this revolutionary style has been criticised upon as a invasion of skiing into snowboarding and cheating. But Boone sees this as a much easier way for skiers to move over to snowboarding and a personally much more thrilling experience. But using his 'problem solution' method he saw a problem as he leaned further and further he found that he was falling a lot when in skiing he never use to fall and he could lean as far as he wanted. Boone soon started creating prototypes with plastic on the end of gloves before advancing to plastic moulded attachments to Ski poles where he could use them to lean further and glide them across the snow for support. this helped restabilise the loss of the stability with two skis to a board and poles. with this invention he was now able to lean much further. this invention has helped polish already good snowboarders to a much better leaner and boarder.
